Covid 19 letter 6/9/2020


Dear friends and patients,

We are open! On June 6 , 2020, Governor Baker announced Phase 2 reopening details for Massachusetts. Phase 2 , which is referred to as the “ Cautious Phase,” allows dental providers to cautiously and incrementally resume all elective, non-urgent procedures and services, including routine hygiene appointments. Phase 2 excludes elective cosmetic services. Phase 2 incremental care starts Monday, June 8. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has issued new guidance which will allow us to reopen. In efforts to stop the spread, we are required to see fewer patients than normal, to prioritize those that need treatment and to allow for more time between patients. As a result, there may not be as many appointment times available. For now, this protocol is the the new normal. In keeping with the many demands of the state of affairs, there will be a compliance fee of $20.00 with every visit. Some insurances may cover this charge. While we are doing everything we can to protect you and our team, your patience while we work through this is greatly appreciated.

We plan to call you soon. If you have a scheduled appointment most likely it will need to be changed. Please check with the office before showing up for an appointment or til you hear from us.  When you make an appointment we will ask if you have signs of COVID-19 and we will ask those same questions the day of your appointment. We will ask that you call us when you arrive in the parking lot. We will let you know when we are ready to seat you. Once ready and have entered the office, we will take your temperature. If you have a reading of greater than 100 degrees F we will ask you to reschedule your appointment. Two days after your appointment we will hear from us again, asking whether or not you are experiencing any signs of COVID-19.

As mentioned in previous emails, we now have new PPE( personal protective equipment) requirements. We might look different but you will still receive the same great service from our dedicated team. The PPE is bulky and may sometimes make our team feel less friendly, but we assure you behind every mask is the same smile you know.
